The subfloor must be completely smooth and clean. Any bumps, debris, or cracks underneath will show right through the flexible vinyl sheet.
DImensions
Sheet vinyl is sold by the linear foot from large rolls, usually available in standard widths of 6 feet or 12 feet. You buy the length you need based on the fixed roll width.
CARE & MAINTENANCE TIPS
What should I avoid if I have vinyl flooring?
Moving heavy furniture: Always lift heavy furniture and appliances. Dragging them will tear sheet vinyl or deeply scratch luxury vinyl. We recommend protecting your furniture legs at all times.
Heels, non-trimmed pet nails, and cleats can lead to: small scratches that build up over time, compromising the longevity and look of your floors.
What kind of vacuum should I be using?
Use a soft-bristle brush, broom, or felt vacuum. Keep the wheels free from dirt/abrasive material - as they might scratch your floors!
What do I do if an accident happens, and something spills?
Wipe up all spills as soon as they happen to prevent stubborn stains.
How often should I be sweeping/vacuuming/mopping?
Sweep or vacuum daily. Loose dirt acts like sandpaper and dulls the protective wear layer over time.
Use a damp microfiber mop. Do not flood the floor with water, especially with luxury vinyl planks.
What is safe for cleaning vinyl?
DO use: pH-neutral vinyl cleaners or a few drops of dish soap in warm water.
DO NOT use: ammonia, bleach, acetone, or highly abrasive scrubbing pads, or steam mops.
