Vinyl, Carpet, Laminate... oh my!

If you're feeling anything like the picture above. Just know you can now take a deep breath.

That's because we're about to run down the basics of each floor and WHY you should choose it.

Why Solid Wood

1.   Solid hardwood is one of the only products that actually increase the value of your home.

2.   If properly maintained, hardwood will last a lifetime!

3.   With all the different species and stains you can obtain almost any desired look.

4.   Prefinished hardwood is a very clean installation and can be walked on immediately after installation.

5.   Hardwood has a very soft and warm feel.

6.   Hardwood is relatively quiet underfoot. A Sound barrier can be added to reduce the sound.

Why Engineered Wood

1.   Engineered wood has all the characters of Solid Hardwood with added values.

2.   Engineered can be installed by different methods including glued and floating providing proper installations over radiant heat.

3.   Engineered woods can be installed “below” grade even on concrete.

4.   Engineered woods are more stable thus less expansion and contraction. Wider widths can be achieved without fear of excessive movement.

5.   Contrary to belief, engineered woods can be refinished! However, if hardwoods are taken care of, they should never have to be refinished. They need proper maintenance!

Why Laminate

1.   Most laminate floors can be installed over existing floors with little or no mess. Certain criteria must be met! Primarily the existing floor must be level.

2.   Laminate is a very quick installation.

3.   Laminates require little or no maintenance. Damp mopping is all.

4.   Quality Laminates wear extremely well.

Why Ceramic

1.   Quality ceramic with the proper grout in an existing home and properly installed will last as long as we do!

2.   Ceramic adds an esthetic appeal and value to your home.

3.   With all the sizes and designs available today any look can be obtained.

4.   Quality ceramics are extremely durable.

Why LVT Floating

1.   All quality Solid Vinyl products, some of which have padding attached, offer a tremendous esthetic value to your home. Certain ones can add value to your home.

2.   Floating LVT’s possibly offer installations over questionable substrates.

3.   Many are now waterproof and can be installed anywhere.

4.   Many are extremely stable and can be installed where temperatures range from 0-100 degrees.

5.   Quality LVT’S offer superior durability.

6.   Understand which cores provide the most value.

Why LVT Glued

1.   Glued LVT’S are mostly used in commercial areas where substrings are nearly perfect which they have to be.

2.   Glued LVT’S offer a very stable installation on uneven floors. Keep in mind the LVT will show this unevenness of the floor!

3.   Glued LVT’s offer the possibility on installing the LVT with Grout.

4.   Most can be installed on three season porches.

5.   Quality LVT’S offer superior durability.

6.   Understand which cores provide the most value.

Why Carpet

1.   Quietest flooring available.

2.   Warmest product available.

3.   Most comfortable product available depending on style and pad.
