Did you know color has a lot of meaning?

We're taught at a young age the meaning of colors, their associations. However, it goes deeper than that. Color psychology and theory play a very important role in the world. 

From fast food chains to big businesses. Color is a very important aspect to consider. So, it should be for your home too!

Let's dive into the intriguing world of color psychology, so you can decorate like a pro.

RED

Starting off first in the rainbow, we have Red. Now when most people think of red, they can associate it with anger. While this may be true, psychologically it is sending more than just one feeling.

Red can symbolize: Passion, energy, and confidence. It is certainly an attention grabber. SO, if want to think big & bold and make a statement with your decor, red is sure the way to go. 


ORANGE

Orange's properties align with feelings of joy, enthusiasm and emotion

Considered a fun color, orange can be used in many different ways to bring that joyful feeling to your space.

YELLOW


"I've got sunshine, on a cloudy day".


Yep, you guessed it, yellow symbolizes happiness and optimism. It is associated with all things cheerful and uplifting


So, if you're in need of a room, to be your bright and true, yellow is a good color for you! 



GREEN


Green is symbolized with luck, harmony, nature and prosperity.

BLUE


Don't be so blue! Just kidding, blue actually has other associations than just sadness. It symbolizes loyalty, security, power and trust.


Blue is a very versatile color, as it is used in many themed room such as beach decor. It brings feelings of calmness, relaxation and reliability.



PURPLE


Who doesn't love purple? Purple is symbolized with royalty, mystery, spirituality and imagination.


It can inspire, enlighten, and encourage anyone around it's presence.

PINK


Pink symbolizes more than just Barbie. It represents love, playfulness and compassion. 


Pink can have a nurturing effect as well as sympathy and kindness.


BROWN


Okay who said brown was boring? Because what is symbolizes is certainly not boring. Brown symbolizes stability, honesty and reliability.


It can effect us by making us feel grounded, protected, and simplified.

BLACK


Black is most associate with depression. However it is more than just it's stereotype. Black has a lot of power in it's properties. It symbolizes elegance, protection, sophistication and power.


It can bring on feelings of security or even intimidation. When used correctly, black can be a wonderful addition to any home.


GRAY


Good ol' gray, always a trusty color as it can match with anything. It symbolizes control, practicality, and compromise.


It can also give off neutral and soothing feelings.


WHITE


Just like brown, white is associated with being boring. However, it symbolizes cleanliness, purity, innocence and perfection.


It can refresh a space with it's balancing and simplified effects.
